Program “System of automatic prediction of laboratory tests and optimisation of quality control and analysers workload based on machine learning”

Diagnostyka S.A. is the originator and beneficiary of the project: “System of automatic prediction of laboratory tests and optimisation of quality control and analysers workload based on machine learning”.

The project is subsidised by the European Union with the funds from the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of the Smart Growth Operational Programme. The project is co-funded as a result of a competition carried out by the National Centre for Research and Development – Fast Path.

The project pursued is aimed at developing a nationwide innovative system of automatic prediction of laboratory tests and optimisation of quality control and analysers workload”.

The system is to operate on the basis of machine learning algorithms with the use of intelligent analysis of Big Data. The project is to result in creating a model of test results the prediction, which – using current and historic data and a feedback – will enable the work of diagnostic devices to be controlled, thus reducing the number of redundant determinations as well as used materials and reagents.

The innovative feature of the project, as far as machine learning is concerned, is the possibility to predict the number and time of laboratory tests orders and optimising the work of laboratories and devices based on the projections.

Value of the project amounts to PLN 6,416,346.51.

Value of co-financing: PLN 3,088,755.12.

Period of implementation:  2021-2023.
